I adore this car...
I never thought I would say this, but when I have to choose between the Turbo or the M6... hard choice, really...
Amazing creation, really amazing, no words to describe it...

I didn't see for example what happens when going head to head from a stand still?
Anyway it doesn't really matter. It was just my curiousity.
Oh and btw what dod you mean with the last sentence : "there is pretty much nothing like ti "

m6 vs 996 turbo... some videos
rolling start

standing start

different edc settings

m6 0-270km

I am not really that into the 996turbo to give you a precise arguemnt, but from what i have read on the m6 board, the significant difference in horsepower has a very large effect at higher speeds. As you know torque is extremely important at lower speeds and then it becomes a smaller and smaller factor as the car has to battle with drag resistance from the higher speed.
And you are correct , on a roll the Turbo starts much quicker, the m6 has to "wait" for the torque to arrive
Also some suggested that the gearbox makes a big difference. There is a video, which i cannot find , of the m5 vs 911 turbo using s5 and s6... On s5 it loses, on s6 it makes mincemeant out of the turbo. WIth s6 you pretty much get seemless gearchanges, as you will see in the above videos and that makes a lot of difference
there is pretty much nothing like it... i meant

I now wonder what would be the difference between the 997 turbo and the m6

Id buy the new 997 turbo over the M6 any day. Nothing looks better on the street than a wide ass of a twin turbo Porsche. I always get more looks driving the 997 911 Cs than any other car I have owned. Now add the body kit of the turbo and fatter rear end and its over!!! I also like the idea the automatic is faster than the stick. I am saving my dollars up for the new Turbo.

I was wondering about the rear spoiler on the turbo...from what i know (at least on the 997 turbo) but on all the turbos, the rear spoiler goes up at speeds exceding 60km/h and down below. The fact is that i saw alot of clips in nither of them the spoiler up. Anyway, can you change this feature...can you have it all the time down or up? I would really like to see a pic or a clip with it being in the top position.
