Oooh - Ronnie like-eee.

"They" are saying it will get a 3.7L twin turbo engine making 450hp and a 7spd SMG. Price and hp wise this puts it solidly in M3 territory. (Except this thing could be tuned to 600-700hp for very little money and effort)

The stuff I've read indicates ~$50K-$55K. About the cost of the current M3. It will need to be significantly less than the M3, RS4 that it will no doubt compete with.

No previous version was ever officially part of a US market offering, so any costs associated with acquiring one here aren't going to be helpful in gauging cost.

When I frequented the nissan boards, I read that they expected it to be around $70K. When it arrives in the U.S. I hope it gets badged as a infiniti. Even though it should be a great performer, it'd be hard choosing this over an e90 m3.

I personally dont like the looks. Performance-oriented this car easily hands down e90M3 but for overall satisfaction I definitely will get the BMW.

just my 2 cents

Of course, everything at this point is still speculation, but rumors have been tossed around saying that this will be badged an Infiniti in all markets around the world.

It's amazing what an aftermarket exhaust and a boost controller can do to a turbocharged car.
Just need to be super careful not to detonate/ping from being boost-happy.

Me like-eee, too! The article says a CVT trans--I didn't those could handle big torque numbers?

Those boneheads at IGN don't know squat about cars. It's an SMG/DSG 7 speed apparently. I wrote them a huge email once on their 5 series mistakes. Heck, they had the E90 and E60 pictures mixed up in an article!
