Looks very good ... MB now has a strong and consistent look from the S Class down to the C Class.
And if MB continues to improve their driving dynamics (they already have excellent engines), this car is likely to steal 5 series buyers.
The timing of the introduction should be interesting ... mid-2009 launch for the W212, so about one year ahead of the next generation 5 series (F10). If that's the case, E60 sales in it's last year may take an even bigger hit. Maybe BMW will counter the E Class launch by moving up the F10 introduction?
How about that 8 cylinder diesel with 354 HP - the torque on that beast must be HUGE.

Looks like the bad love child of a Cadillac Escalade and an Acura. Not my thing at all. I do not see what they are trying to do with their design any longer. They used to make classical beautiful cars. Now they are tyring to be edgy yet muted. They are starting to remind me of Lexus. Both just trying to be younger and edgier than BMW, but totally getting away from their roots and who they are in a bad way. You make non inspiring but beautiful cars. that is who you are. Just be who you are and do that well and everything will be fine.
