Anyone know how long the A3 is going to last as it is before a new model comes out? The wife wants a new car and I'm thinking this or an Audi TT....
I believe the current A3 came out in 2004. Audi tends to follow the same life cycle as BMW 7 years... So expect to see a new A3 in 2011. I've driven the S3 Quattro. It's an incredible car. If you get one, make sure you get the DSG gearbox!

I know I'll get shot down and berated for this, but personally, I think the A3 with the quattro system is a better car. Even if it isn't the awesome S3, a 'normal' A3 2.0TFSI quattro is a fabulous car! And it has some serious cache!

Also since Audi is taking over Taiwan from its previous distributor, TaiGu, it seems that the distributor is advertising that its getting rid of their stock for cheap!

In markets where Audi is selling more than 4000 cars or if a local importer is doing a sh***y job, they are taking over the importation and marketing. That's what happened in Korea. Audi set up Audi Korea in 2005 and started operations in August of the same year. My buddy was the country manager until beginning of this year. When he went to head Audi Japan.

If you are going to get a hatch for your wife, my vote is for the A3 2.0TFSI quattro 5-door! Ah... and SLine!

It must be both since Taiwan sells more than 4000 Audis @ year and the local distributor really has some attitude problems.... ehehhe

Most likely! And Audi AP doesn't want to lose out on the margins. I wonder who the country head will be? Hmmm... maybe someone I know.

Those new A4 look nice, and does the S5 . My wife has the 2007 A4 Avant 2.0T Quattro. I love the AWD, but to me it's still lacking something... I've been trying to get her into an E61 with no luck at all
