Hello guys!!!
We have the E46 M3 Convertible for a few years now, but we are thinking about replacing it in a year.
We are considering the following cars and except for the M3 they are all costing pretty much the same here. I give you our remarks with each car:
Aston Martin V8: No doubt the most beautiful car, amazing looking, amazing sound, but it uses a lot of fuel and there are very little distributors...
Audi R8: very beautiful, rare, good engine
Porsche 911 Carrera S: beautiful, but you are seeing a lot of them...
New M3: I adore our E46 M3, but maybe it is time to try something else
what do you guys think??? The car is going to be used regularly, so fuel consumption etc is an issue...
Thanks

For an everyday car, the Audi R8 is the best IMHO. It kicked the crap out of the Porsche 911 Turbo on a race course while being more comfortable to drive. The Aston is only good if you must have something exclusive.
Negative for the R8 is the lousy fuel economy.

V8 vantage is not worth it in my opinion, db9 is more of an Aston Martin in my opinion.
Id go for the R8 if it were me.

You should consider the new C63 coming out, 450hp/443lb-ft this kills the new M3 motor which claims 420hp/295lb-ft.

2. Porsche, but not Carrera! You have one year left, so you can find a 997 GT3 or 997 Turbo.
I see you drive now 535d, than buying Carrera will disappoint you, it's too slow.... (my opinion).

Thanks for the reply, guys...
The car will be a "second car", with the 535d for regular use.
I know DB9 or Turbo/GT3 is faster, more exclusive ... but it costs more than I was planning to spent...
I am surprised the AM V8 is last on your list, I have seen the car a few times in real life and I think it is a lot more beautiful and for sure exclusive than the 911...
The perfect car would be a combination I think...

Drive an AMv8 for a long period of time and then drive a CL550 or even a M6. Gaurntee youd look at the AMv8 differently.

Yes the AM v8 looks very nice, but driving it is a different story. DB9 is the only AM worth buying.
Is the handling than so bad??? The car will be used for driving on the road, not for using on a track, so it is not that important... I know that is maybe a strange stateme...but I really really really like the way it looks...
