the M3 is giving up close to 100HP here...
Does the C63 have a widebody kit on it or are my eyes playing tricks on me ?

Here is a bolt-on M3 vs RPI stage 1 M5. (M3 does pretty good against the big V10)

They widened the rear to match the wide stock front fenders.

Moreover, the C63 was heavily modded while the M6 in the race was not.
Plus, even though the M6's engine has 10 cylinders, the C63's engine, at 6208 cc, has a larger displacement (6.2 liters vs. 5 liters), much more torque (443 lbs-ft vs. 383 lbs-ft) and not that much less horsepower (451 vs. 500) than the M6's engine. And the C63 is a bit lighter than the M6.
