over 20 hp over the stock setup on the flywheel which is impressive considering that nothing was done to the GT-R's ECU and just the Exhaust.

I see that the GTR $70,000us cost more than the M3 $65,000us
In HK the M3 $173,000us cos more than the GTR $128,000
so I just dont know how things work in US.
Is it because of the shipping?

Only $5000 difference between the new M3 and the new GTR?
Performance difference between the two cars seem to be $50,000 or more.
Any chance of M3 keeping up with GTR on straight way, track, wet road, etc.? very very slim...
Come on BMW, don't just dump the old M5 engine into the new M3, bring us something new and spectacular.
Wait the new M3 engine is the same 4.0L v8 from previous M5 right?
I want to see BMW tweaking thier silky smooth I-6 to generate 450+ hp to make M3 a legend again.
I don't want to hear people talking about how good GTR is and never hear a word about the new M3.
Don't want to see M3 disappear in the shadow of GTR.

M3 is good but well over priced in HK.

FYI: New M3 motor is brand new. not from the previous M5.
The 3.2 lter I6 engine form the E46 M3 was already very very tweaked and not much could have been extracted from it (keeping it NA) without seriously affecting reliability. I mean even to the present other companies achieve somewhere below 300hp with the same displacement. Alfa romeo V6 3.2 has 250 hp, the nissan 350z has aprox 300hp from a 3.6 V6, so the E46 M3 CSL was a record braker at around 113 hp/liter. M3 is still king and still legen, regardles of what others may think.
