The more time I spend on the MB boards the more I'm beginning to regret selling my E60.

mbworld.org is the most uninformative useless forum I've ever been on, in fact, toyotanation.com was much more informative than these people.

I know this is a ridiculous question, but can anyone recommend a helpful forum for benzo drivers (modding, tech, maintenance-wise).

Thanks in advance.

I suspect the demographics for the MB includes folks who are more likely to look for high performance batteries for their scooters and pacemakers. One exception are the AMG crowd - maybe there is a forum you could hunt down.

Yeah no kidding..

But it's nice to see proper grammar on the boards, just saying.

I am on the AMG boards, but the 63 and my W211 are styled differently so it's not very helpful as far as modding is concerned.

I want my E60 back :(

I have seen some nice MB with clean mods. But I have to say in HK 90% of the driver are very old (looks over 40+)
I have never seen a under 30 owning a E class but have seen loads owning a E60.

<-- Under 30.

It'll come out clean. Trust. Probably revert back to a 535 E60 or F10 in the future.

I know it's going to be hard to gauge, but any help is appreciated.

Picked up a set of HRE 547's that came off a 2003 SL 500 (R203). Anybody know if these will for a 2009 W211? Not sure about the offsets as the inner barrels were swapped out..

Fronts are 20x8.5 (245/30/20)
Rears are 20x11 (305/25/20)

I know for sure the rears aren't going to fit..but my question is, does anyone think they will fit after some work?

Thanks guys.

5 Attachment(s)
Can anyone that's good with photoshop, chop the attached wheels for me with a medium drop ( no fender gap )?

Much appreciated.

Unfortunately they wont fit. My brother has an W211 E55 and he was already faced with the same dilemma. It sucks unless you want to do some fender work. Those wheels will however fit under a CLS, thats the worst part.

Good luck Nick, I know finding the right wheels with the right look will be difficult - especially since you like a nice lip. I like the way your car looks. I have to admit, I'll be sticking with BMW for several years to come though :tease:
Seriously, I know you don't do dumb or crappy mods, so good luck.

lol. really? i was thinking about rolling on the HRE's with the lip sticking out 1+ inch from the fender. HA. nah, but I'm going to relip the wheels and see what I can do with them. coilovers should be coming soon and we'll go from there. if it's not what I'm looking for, then I'll just flip them and go for a different set.

thanks for the input/help guys
