Does anyone know why BMW do not participate in DTM? It would be so much more interesting to watch.

I thought that DTM and BTCC and similar were forming one racing league? I don't know... honestly, I don't care - out here in the real world BMW's kill both - benzed and audis on a daily basis

True, but at the very highest levels of motorsports BMW unfortunately can't hold a candle to MB and Audi. MB has long been dominant in F1, Audi long has been dominant at LeMans. BMW really doesn't figure much at these levels.

It just seems to me they should make the effort. They may not have dominated F-1, but they certainly powered some winners (20) for Williams and Sauber in recent years. IIRC, BMW engines won LeMans in '95 and '99 with relatively little support. Maybe they are spending too much on the Formula BMW series to justify further expense?

Agree CWS, BMW should be much more involved than they are. They've certainly underachieved in motorsport, and it seems to me that a series like DTM (or the BTCC) would be perfect for BMW.
