And yet, for those only interested in stoplight grand prix, the GT-R is still the better choice. While the LFA may be faster on paper and on limitless stretches of highway, Godzilla launches more consistently and feasts on imperfect launches. Nine times out of ten, the GT-R leaves quick enough to overcome the LFA's top-end advantage.

Great comparo, but of the 2 I'd still take the GT-R any day of the week. Fast, comfy, AND cheaper - can't beat that. Plus you can BUY a GT-R, can't buy an LFA. Either way you get a sick fast car with exclusivity

+1, great comparison test. My favorite quote:

Met the CEO of Lexus one day and he let me sit in it. Love the way it sounds just mean. Would be a nice car to have!

I agree, but not so sure it's worth the $12k/mo lease on it
The lease deal is apparently intended to stop buyers from flipping the car. Lexus is seemingly "vetting" customers to help ensure these cars actually get some usage. |
In terms of bang for your buck, the GTR stomps all over the LFA. But the LFA is not about value but exclusivity. If I were going to plunk down that kind of bank on a car, it would be a Murcielago -- not a LFA. By my guess in that buyers within the LFA's target market are uber ballers who has multiple supercars and the LFA is just another addition to the collection.
