with all the continued problem I have with the E60, I am strongly considering trading it in for something. I've driven the M45 briefly, looked at the Audi A6 (never driven), the GS300/430, and the E-class. biggest dilemma is nothing else, I mean nothing else, is a BMW. they don't drive like one, etc. however, most of those cars don't have the problems the BMW's have, like the creaking, noises, i-drive issues.
has anyone else any thoughts on the competition? has anyone owned one of these, past or present. etc?

let me further define my needs - 4 doors. forget the vette. unfortunately, wouldn't drive american cars at this point. still not quality made yet. I am all for made in america, but it's got to be a quality product too.
550 really isn't an option. had 5 or 6 E39's, 2 E60's. no need to get another of the same car with same problems.

But I see your point when I bought my e60 I surfed a lot here... and I knew what I am buying and will never regret it: new car 5th month w 16000km, onyl prob: sw: window trap- I really do not care I make them down then up... do not stress myself ... you know Wassy the look of the ppl worth all 
and German technology, plz do not forget sw is like Windows... I installed 600X but is till use Win... matter of tastes. And good luck for you. What is Merz
