Nice, but I still wonder how long before Hyundai shakes its bottom feeder image and name.
2) When they stop using plastic fake wood interior trim.
3) When they actually start doing some real engineering on their own, instead of copying or buying old technology from other manufacturers.
4) When they realize that "value for money" is about how good a car is and not about loading a car with tons options and the lowest possible price.
5) When they actually build a car everyone wants regardless of price.

To your point 3, the V8 engine in this thing was developed entirely in-house. It actually has a higher specific output per liter than BMW's 4.8 liter engine, and has been getting praise in the reviews. Also, much of BMW's technology - active steering, ARS, night vision etc - was developed by external vendors and not by BMW. This is true of all manufacturers. The reviews in the US press have been positive and also seem to contradict your point 4) too.

No contradiction there dude. If you take a look at Hyundai and their "bang for the buck" marketing strategy, you start seeing similarities to VW and their Phaeton. Awesome motor, low price point, etc...., but, where are the sales? VW is having a tough time upscaling their image, very much like what Hyundai is facing. Toyota, Ford, GM, Nissan all realized this years ago and came out with Lexus, Lincoln, Caddilac, and Infiniti.
