MB is a leather couch that was designed first and then they try to fit wheels to it

Couldn't have said it better.
and adds sport rather than starting with sport (BMW) and adding luxury (assuming that this is the way things are)?[/quote]
Pretty much, why do you care about what I think about MB anyways?

Curiosity. Your statements about, or reactions to statements about, MB's sometimes seem to imply an extreme opinion so I wondered why. Now that you clarify it appears that your opinion is not as extreme as it sometimes appears. And, in general, I frequently wonder why people have the opinions they do and why they express them as they do. So, as said, I was just curious.

Well to satisfy your curiosity, I only get the most enjoyment from my car when I drive it. I am those that actually like Recaro seats over comfort seats and don't mind hearing the engine noise while I am driving. I feel I am more of a driver than a passenger so if you ask me luxury or sport, I would say sport. Having said that I would still go test drive MB when they have a new model out. But test drive only though

again plain stupidity coupled with ignorance and profanity... Your objectivity is worthless IMO, and on top of everything you quote for saying something i never have done ... I love MB and given the choice would prefer the clk to the 3 coupe, the s class to the 7 series, the c class to the 3 series, and the cls to the 5 series, and yet i still own 4 BMWs, which is more than youll see in the next 25 years

One of the main reasons that I chose a BMW over MB and Audi was because of the availablity of a Manual Transmission. I know that I got the SMG, but if BMW did not have SMG, would have gotten the Manual. No choice in the A6 or E class, at least in the US. Think this caters to the those who want more driver involvment.

The reason why BMWs handle so well...
1. I think it's because of BMW's near to perfect 50/50 weight distribution which creates a miracle handling.
2. The engine is placed 'on' the front axle giving the chassis a natural balance. Unlike Audis which the engine is in front of the front axle.
3. The Dynamic Drive!!!
4. Aluminum/steel hybrid construction for rigidity, balance and minimal weight.
5. E60's rigidity is equal to a porsche 911's!!
