Have a good read. http://www.300cforums.com/forums/srt8-gene...new-m5-yet.html.
People, just stay away from any Dodge Charger or 300c that is a SRT-8. It would look quite embarassing being walked so easily. Like swajames mentioned the regular 300c is fodder for 550 but not any of the SRT-8s.

Sorry to rob this thread, but he SRT-8 question was obvious.
I don't think anyone who has driven a manual will disagree with you about the fun factor of a manual unless he/she is tired of shifting in constant traffic.
I have friend whose son is an F-15C pilot now going through the "pilotless" flight school where he will be piloting a plane half way around the world on a bombing mission. It's like playing a video game. Just imagine the disconnect in his shoes. :'( :'( but that's the way of the future.
Technology will make the manuals obsolete . . . autos and sequentials will rule. Heck, I don't think anyone in F1 racing is using a manual anymore, are there? Yes, sequentials are brutual on the streets, but DSG and SMGs are tamed for the masses and improvements on the auto trannies will eventually squeeze out the hard core manual fans.

Well said lsv1970. My father's girlfriend is a former Yale Graduate School professor (now at Columbia). She is very reserved and not into cars. She doesn't enjoy riding in the 300SRT-8 because it wears its intentions on its sleeve. Its a comfortable car, but always a bit high strung. Loud, a bit bumpy and its very quick steering ratio makes it darty combined with tramlining of the tires/suspension and squeeky brakes. Its a one dimensional machine. The 550i on the other hand is a gem of a car in almost any circumstance and can be judged against many yardsticks. Its 95% as brutally fast as an SRT and 95% as smooth riding as a Lexus. It gets relatively excellent gas mileage, its extremely safe, its the most technologically advanced car in its class and like it or not, its styling is anything but bland. But getting back to your point, power is nothing without control. 100% of 50 is more than 75% of 60 - such is the case with driving a 300 vs. an E60, n'est pas?
