Just for the record, the "S" does not stand for AWD. The "4" (duh) in C4S means four wheels are driven. The "S" was to denote the fact that the C4S came with the sport suspension, and used the brakes and wheels of the 996 Turbo. All 996's can turn sub-five-second 0-60 times (0-100 km/hr slightly slower, of course). Although the four wheel drive is heavier, is does give the car a launch advantage from a standing start, and C4S's typically match C2's in 0-60 mph times. The C4S, even with Tiptronic, will outrun an E36 or E46 M3, given equal drivers trying equally hard.
Remapping the ECU for more hp is mostly a pipe dream in newer BMWs; there was a little extra hp available in the E36 M3s, but 360 hp sounds more like an ECU manufacturer's claim than reality.

I do not agree with all of the above points u mentioned. That the 4 stands for awd is a fact and what i stated about the S was bs. But that a C4S will outrun an E46 M3 i do not agree with. The C4S has less hp, 4wheel drive and tiptronic and weighs even more. And i dont think its correct to compare the E36 M3 with the E46 M3 cause there really is a difference in power aswell as in performance.
Mine was an E46 by the way with standard 343hp, so a gain of 17hp (not even 5%) is not impossible although i agree with u that remapping is often exaggerated.
Btw, dont forget that the european M3 has more hp than the american version.

This cracks me up. Great video. I had a fool on occasion do the same with me in my Porsche. The last race was with some 'gangsta' in a Escalade (aka Chevy in a Caddy badge)

I apologize if I sound like a snob, but at the end of the day, it's still Bimmer over a hyped up Chrysler. Which would you rather own? End of discussion.

BTW mine was also chipped and recorded 362bhp (give or take depending on dyno, some showed 355)

Yesterday While I was at the traffic light in my 550i, a 300C was next to me and seemed interested to race with me. I could easily beat him until the next traffic light where we had to stop again. He got crazy and wanted to confirm he is beaten, and again I beat him like hell

Usually if you are cruising in the fast lane and have not already moved over to the free lane to your right, and someone comes up behind you, the norm is for them to flash their brights quickly to have the car in front move over. Their intent usually isn't to start a race. When they had to pass you on the right because you wouldn't move over, they were probably "pissed" at you and passed faster than they normally would.
If your attitude is not to move over, please do yourself a favor and never drive in Germany. I am not trying to start any arguement. I just wanted to point out that if we drive the "Ultimate Driving Maching" we ought to work at becoming good drivers that understand the rules of the road, and don't just cruise in the fast lane just because we have a bimmer.

I is very common to pass inside lane in Hong Kong.

It's lucky you weren't racing the SRT, as the result would have been reversed. You'll have no problem despatching a vanilla 300c but we can't outrun the SRT version from a stoplight.
That is how fast they are!!!
they are light and have turbo.
