Caddy CTS-V storms Nurburgring in 7:59.32, fastest production sedan "ring" time.

2009 Cadillac CTS-V 567-hp

"In testing today at Germany's Nurburgring, Cadillac's upcoming new 2009 CTS-Vcompleted a lap of the legendary Nordschleife in 7:59.32. This blistering time appears to be the fastest ever publicly documented for a production sedan."

I think it looks pretty good. I believe it starts at $60K with options pushing it close to $70K. It is a lot of power for the money, but in this price range, I'd probably opt for a M3 or a used M5. And if I wanted this type of power in an American car, I'd opt for a Z06 if space was not an issue.

The last CTS-V was available only with a manual. This model however offers an automatic which should sell much better. However, with an automatic sedan as a criteria, 70K will also buy you a C63, IS-F or perhaps a 550.

I agree, I actually like the styling also.

Estimates on pricing has been all over the place. Most of estimates I have seen have the msrp under $60,000. You have to remember the last CTS-V msrp was $51,425. So they can't jump the price too much.

I personally would rather have a C63 or M3. But I have to give props to GM for even offering a 567hp sedan. The C63 is a beast with 450hp, I couldn't imagine 567hp, thats just crazy.

Count me in as one who likes the styling as well. That HP is amazing at that price. It will just put the pressure on the other manufacturers, BMW included, to up the ante. That will benefit all enthusiasts. For that for GM.
