Hi all,
There?s been a lot of complaints about the sound Q in our cars. I?ve done my share of complaining too
Well I thought I?d check the competition.
I went to the local Audi dealer who demoed an A4 3.0TDI with the new top-of-the-line
Bang & Olufsen audio system.
Verdict??
To be a top of the line system it was not impressive at all.
Of course it had all the DSP and stuff to play around with but....
Not very listening friendly at all.
At higher listening levels you almost immediately got listening fattigue.
Loads of mid bass but absolutely NO sub...
Super sharp and crisp highs but way to much of it unless you put the DSP i rearseat-listening-mode then all the mids and highs dissapered.
The result for me is that I?m happy with my moderately upgraded standard system in my e61.
For a fraction of the cost of the Audi system I get a sound Q that works for me.
And the aftermarket underseats actually produce decent bass!
Make no mistake though, my next BMW will have individual audio!!
No doubt.
Cheers
