CL500

A close friend picked up his new CL500 and I went with him .
The car is black, light leather inside etc.
Today was raining and I thought to my 5 : with only 1600 Kg, it spins a lot every time it rains . The CL almost doesn't spin due to the weight (1950 Kg!) .
Basically it is a boat and not a car, but if the road is straight .. Wow, you can accelerate without feel NOTHING, no sound, no noise, no speed, nothing .
It has ALL technological devices on the market (cameras, night vision, distronic plus etc. etc.) .
It is confortable as a 5 series will be in 2020 .
We went round here in the center of the city at 6pm, so only traffic and no chance to understand much more .
I got a little pic :
My 5 is faster, but .. Wow this CL, silence and leather everywhere!

I've read CL-Class has seats that rotate as you turn >> follow your steering direction so that pussies on the front seat don't get sick when driving fast
I don't like MB but CL-Classes are great. Our neighbor has CL63 and the sound is incredible. I always wish he floors it a little bit more.

The seat 'multicountur' has many regulations, more than my our confort seats on the E60 : you can inflate every part, move every part etc.
The software is better and better than iDrive .
EDIT:
And you can lower or lift the car with a button

To go fast and sporty he has two Ferraris and every day he wants silence .

My Ride: 2005 530i Individual, DVD Package, HUD, Bluetooth, Comfort Seats, SR, etc
the front look reminds me of Mazda Rx8, CX7, CX 9...specially the fender and the lights.... i do love all of em...including the CL, a different breed it is the CL, I think I need to be a lot more calm and have some certainty in life to buy the CL, so mature....

Great looking coupe. AMG package is really nice, now he is just missing to install the AMG aftermarket quad exhaust. At least MB is supplying it for all its models.
BMW has not even released the sport exhaust for half of its models.

His cousin got the CL63 AMG too, but is less comfortable, the engine noisy, maybe the exhaust : it is the same discussion we have here (M5 vs 550i) .

The 6.2 liter is better suited in the C, CLK, E class.

but a car like this perfect when it's 2 years old. 1/2 price.
