ok...so here is the deal....there is a warning light coming on indicating that one of my tires are defective. found out, the actual indicator is bad, not the tire. however, bugatti has done a gps reading of the car and I need to ship it to either st. louis or calif to get the tire indicator fixed before texas motor speedway will let me take it out. also, they are telling me I will need a new set of tires to make the run. finally i will need to get a two year full inspection done since it is a 2006 model. it was the number 4 car shipped to the states and number 17 built. here is the kicker....
each tire needs to be sent to the Bugatti headquarters in France, and replaced by a special machine to the tune of $7,200 per tire. Then the inspection will run $17,000 plus another $10,000 for a guy from bugatti to come over and make sure the inspection is done right. Then they want me to buy an extended warranty for two years to the tune of $78,000.
so...i am going to drive the damn thing till Jan. and ship it off to get all the crap done after the year. in the meantime, i decided to see if i could work it up to 200 mph on the freeway. probably not the smartest thing to do. But got on i-30 just east of loop 12 in dallas where there are five lanes, early in the morning. had someone go ahead of me to check out the landscape. pulled the trigger and got over 193 before I hit some traffic. i swear it seemed like i had to slam the brakes and that got me down to 90 mph.
going to head out again early in the morning sunday and make another run. 200 baby....
man what a rush....acceleration is off the charts. was smooth as silk and glued to the road. I will get the 200 in, and then ship it off to get the work done. this veyron just eats up the pavement.....

Btw, if you're free this Saturday 11/29, we're having a local meet in Addison at Houlihans @ 1:30pm.
Bring the Veyron if you'd like or whichever car from the stable, I'm sure whichever one will do

Let me know if you can make it, and I'll call to adjust the reservation.

How many miles does it take to get to 193 mph? I know the i 30 at loop 12 well; but it's tough to clear traffic in that area even for a mile.

Wow those prices are unbeliveable but for a car of that price inline I guess. Also it is not a question of what he does for a living it is what companies he owns or what type of golden parachutte he gets

i came to Dallas with $600 and and an orange 1972 Vega station wagon in 1982. Since then I have purchased over $9 billion in real estate in 38 states, run over 125 partnerships, and own over 10 companies from real estate, nightclubs and manufacturing. just a regular joe with a bad case of taking risk. just lucky.
I would like to get the general consensus from this board on a question. I am thinking of trading my Carrera Gt in for a new black/tan Aston Martin DBS...thoughts?
