i drive the 599 gtb most of the time. The benz for work when necessary. Just took the Bugatti for a 200 mile trip and got it to 187 mph. Was smooth as silk.

Most people don't know that the Bugatti has a "launch" switch.
this is true... and i bet most people dont know that you have two keys.. one for reguler driving the other i think its under the driver seat that lets out the rest of the power.. i could be wrong about two keys and the location of where it is.. but i do know that thias must be done unleash the rest of the monster...

and by the way i envy you what a collection of autos you have... beautifull...

when i grow up i wana be just like you

are these the cars you saw?
wow what a way to join the forum! Now you just need an M5

I think most of us would tape our own $100 bill to the dash if you took us for a ride in the Veyron!

yes I have a bmw 650i convertible, a 1959 porsche speedster, a 72 ferrari daytona, a 74 ferrari dino 246 gts, an Aston Martin dbs and a Mercedes S600 sedan.

Most people don't know that the Bugatti has a "launch" switch. It is engaged by putting the front wheels into a straight position, push on the brake, put the car into gear, then push the launch button. You then push the throttle to the floor whereby the engine revs to 2800. At that point you release your foot from the brake and in two seconds all four turbo chargers are released and the full 1000 horse power of the engine is unleashed. It feels like the blood is draining from your head and the g force requires that your hands be wrapped around the steering wheel with a firm grip to hang on. I have taped a $100 bill to the dash of the passenger side and told the rider he can have it if he can grab it after the launch engages and before we get to 100 mph. I have not lost yet. One person nearly passed out. I have done it 7 times, and every time is better than than before. It is a monumental rush.
This is by far money most well spent... unbelievable

Actually I had an M6 convertible, but my wife preferred the 650i convertible.

The Bugatti does require two keys to go over 220 mph. When the key is engaged, the back spoiler is locked, the car lowers by 6 inches and about a dozen things happen to prepare the car for speeds over 220 mph. The tires will be used up in 15 min at top speed and there will be 12 min of fuel.

I had it at a little over 180 and the world was a blur outside. My goal is to reach 200 mph. Not many people have gone that fast in a car.
