I really dislike mercedes these days but I will admit I do like the CLS. However ive seen some new C Class designs and they look very similar if not better than the CLS. That might discourage me when some 18yr old has a C240 with the look at under 30k.

Porsche is always nice but almost 90k for something that looks like a Cayman doesnt sound smart to me, I rather go M5/650cab route. (I do love that cayman so much though)

Im just bored of the look of the E60 I guess I dont know
As Centurion said, get the 911 then. You can never get bored with a timeless design.

I'm considering the 335i coupe as my next car. I hope and think it delivers some more action than my 530

I am. What are those who are bored considering?
I am not bored at all with my car. But, for the next time around, I am thinking CLS AMG, E63 AMG, Audi RS 4, and, 5X0i--provided that it is the equal of the Audi.

well, having had I think 10 5-series, 3 of them E60's, I finally got bored enough to trade it in for a 750i. it was more a combination of boredom and the DEAL i got on the 750i. Sapphire Black with Natural Brown interior. very rich combo in my opinion. the car I bought had a couple thousand miles on it (3500 to be exact), and due to some circumstances, i was able to lease the car as new, with a used car cap cost!!!! that brought my payment to less than I was paying for the E60, and that in itself was low. I'll miss the E60 with all the features, but so far, this big boat of a car actually handles pretty damn close to a 5, has a bit smoother ride, same engine, same seats, blah blah blah. so, in essence, I'll probably get bored of this too, but have a lower payment in doing so! LOL.

I'll be around, so don't be strangers.

I always get bored around the 6 month mark, and started looking at an M3 (but now out of production and they are loosing a fortune) a CSL but I do too many miles to really have one of them, and a few others, but nothing really comes close, I would be changing for changings sake.

The options for me are a bit limited because I do really need an estate, however I love the Audi image and their Avants, I have owned 3 in the last 5 years, so the S6 seemed a good choice, however.......
It is no quicker than what I have now, the tiptronic avant is only 5.4seconds to 100kmh, and around 13 seconds to get to 160kmph which is what I am getting from my 535dms, and it doesn't have the feel of the BMW, it feels slightly numb, you can't really tell what is happening beneath you, it is all very pleasant but I know I would be bored with it in a few weeks time, and I managed to get 11.4 mpg on my test drive, which compared to my 28.5mpg is not that impressive when I am paying $1.85 a litre. Oh and the finance figures were a joke the car was nealry ?60k and the best residual figure I could get after 3 years was ?17k, so with a ?6000 deposit it worked out at ?1200 a month, now I can be in an M6 for ?200 less than that or an M5 for ?400 less.
So all in all I was very dissapointed with the S6 experience.

Next option is the RS4, great, great car, with better feedback and the first really good Audi that almost ticks all the boxes, I say nearly because they only offer a manual box with it, if they offered their DSG box I would probably bite. But a great car and in avant form it should hold its value pretty well as there are not that many coming over the next 12 months.
But it did feel a little dated inside, although very solid as usual, but I have had 6 audis over the last 3 years so it didn't feel new is what I am trying to say.
But a great car and one that really did impress.

So I have decided I am going to stick with this for anoter year, stick the money I would have used on a deposit for a new one to pay more of the finance off on the 535d and then in 12 months I can get something fun, keep the 535d for my wife and get a 911 or new M3 or similar for our fun car. There really is nothing else out there that is worth swapping to at the moment, as I said I would be changing for changings sake, and if I do that I know I would regret it after a few weeks.

I went from a v6 accord to an e90 330i to an e60 550i. So far I love the e60 far more than I did my e90. The 550i doesnt seem as nimble but its pretty damn close to the e90 in terms of handling but with far more power.

It all really depends on what sort of drive you are wanting. Personally, I was looking towards Subaru STi or Legacy GT spec B. Both those subies are freaking fast and will blow the doors of most BMW's(M's excluded). I have a bunch of friends who are into tuning subaru's and I must say, if you want a fun car, you can't go wrong with a Subaru.

If you want some great excitement and loads of customization that won't break the bank, I would suggest you go drive an STi. It's a different class of car than the e60 but I don't think you will regret it.

I think I am right in considering the e60 as a luxury car but if I could choose a weekend driver, I would get a roadster like the s2000 or a subaru. They may be "cheaper" japanese cars but they are loads of fun to drive.

335 will be an awesome car(it's actually the reason I sold my 06 e90) but if you want to try something different, don't go with the CLS if its not one of the amg's. I drove a few CLS 500's before i picked the e60 and I must say it's a damn sexy car but I would pick my 550i over it any day. The thing has a huge blind spot and felt like I was driving a boat.
