Anything similar offered by BMW? Could this be comparable to the Lane changing warning that the E60 just incorporated?

If I'm not mistaken the Volvo system looks for vehicles in the "dead angle" after the driver has pressed the direction lever. The BMW system only takes in info about the road ahead when changing lane.
