In March I purchased a new Lexus GS300. I hated the car after about the first month of driving it.

I had really regretted not going with the BMW as I had traded an 03 530i in on the Lexus. I realized what I was missing.

Anyway.

I was able to trade the Lexus in on a new 550i. The dealer took care of me and it cost me about 4K to get out of the Lexus.

I'm one happy camper and the new BMW should be at the dealer friday or monday. I can hardly wait.

A few years ago my wife had a Lexus RX300. She liked it for may be a couple of months and couldn't stand it thereafter. She couldn't wait for the lease to expire.

The next car was an Audi A6, she drove it for 3.5 years and still loved every km in it. This was until the BMW came along.......

Now the Audi is sitting in the garage collecting dust, waiting for the lease to expire at the end of the year.

Consider yourself lucky. Several years ago I bought a brand new Volvo S80, and I disliked almost everything about it within a few months of ownership. I'm usually a very discerning consumer and felt really stupid falling for it. I got rid of it and lost more than 4K in the process, but I didn't care. I bought a 2000 BMW 528i instead and loved it. 6 years later I bought a 2006 530xi and love it even more

Did you buy the early year S80 ? It was buggy as it first came out in 1999. It is fairly stable now ....

You're lucky that you got out only 4K cost. Mine is 10K cost to get out of Lexus RX330. It's a piece of crap in terms of driving.

Welcome back, mate!

The worst part about the Lexus was the handling, brakes and steering. You could not drive this car by feel. You had to look and then estimate the amount of input to get the required result. VERY ANNOYING. The steering was vague and felt unstable on the freeway. Brakes were ok but nothing like the BMW. I like to feel in control but the Lexus didn't give me that feeling.

My 4.4 X5 was a much better sports car with the 19's. LOL

I will really mis the back up camera though.
