My Ride: 2004 545i
So, I'm looking to add a fun little convertible weekender to the garage. Something reliable and completely non-practical. Performance, coolness, and overall fun factor are the keys. I've found older models of each of the poll entrants to be available under $20K w/ under 65K miles. Which would you choose and why?
Anything that's missing from the list? I am partial to something German, reasonably newer, and low maintenance.

I love the s2000! if you decide on it, look for an '03+ model. I would stick to the 03-04 b/c they still have the high reving engines but the newer ones look nice too.
car is a lot of fun imo and i love the looks. I am not a boxter fan :thumbsdown:

Audi TT hands down. Its more comfy, looks more up to date inside and out, alot more friendlier clutch, and for 20k you will get a newer and lower mileage one than the rest.
Porsche boxster under 20k? Someone had to have slammed it into a tree or thrown up in it a million times. If not, the interior is probably worn out and you wont get an S model.
S2000? Maybe when I was in highschool.
And Z3/Z4 is ok I guess.

audi tt is a cool car too. had fun riding in one.. ok i vote for either the s2k or the tt haha. btw, the tt has the same engine as a golf .:R32 right? thats stuck on my mind now..
