My Ride: '05 545i - scheduled for ED pickup in Munich on 7/22!
some pics i took at a presentation here in nyc -
i thought the overall package was "nice", but nothing more. it doesn't stir your emotions like a pcar or fcar. exterior shape is striking. interior was actuallly disappointing considering audi's high standards. fit and finish were fine but the dash design was horrendous. the interior was very roomy though. lots of headroom and legroom compared to other 2 seaters. the seats need to be more supportive. lots of carbon fiber trim throughout the car. sitting inside, it felt more like a gt car to cruise in, not a true sports car.

jet190rs,
Love the shape of the car. It's got that exotic silhouette.
If I recall, the see-through engine cover is an option for this car.
There will also be an all LED headlamp assembly option for this car.
The transmission knob is that of Audi's R-tronic. Not a DSG but Audi says it's pretty close. For those of you that haven't seen the manual shifter, it's got aluminum-bordered shift gates. Very nice.
The interior looks nice. For what it's worth, interiors with a jog-shuttle dial (iDrive, COMAND) look bare...afterall, the intent is to reduce clutter. But Audi's version (MMi) have looked better. So I still think they are tops when it comes to interior design.
Just wanted to give my 2 cents. Thanks for sharing.

?77000 base, ?82100 with R-tronic... so around 1800? more than an m6... i dont think thats very clever! i was hoping for no more than ?65k
i would buy myself 2 1995 540i M-sports with superchargers (~450hp) or a ZONDA F or a Koeneggseig CCX
