Yesterday I drove with a friend of mine to a 30km away town to borrow his stepfather's A8. It was a 3.0 TDI. Though it's the smallest engine it moves the car amazingly quickly. What I wanted to get at with this thread:

There are nice extras and so on, BUT THE BOSE SOUND SYSTEM IS RUBBISH! LOGIC7 is waaaaay better than that crap

My other half has an Alfa with a Bose sound system and that is crap also, not as good as the standard systems in my previous Audi A4 and my current 520d.

I came up aganist an 07 audi S6 in my 550 I got beat by at least one car length. I was very impressed with this guys car, we stopped and talked a bit and he let me drive it around the block and he drove my 550. My opinion is the S6 is awesome and it handles very well. As far as the sound system he had 5.1 bose and it sounded very very good equal to my logic 7. Just my 2 cents

Bose is for people who just think they know things better, but actually they don't.
I won't say that Bose is bad, but for the same money you can have good stuff.

I used to have a high end audio store, some "rich" people told they wanted Bose. They didn't believe that for that price they wouldn't by high end, but mid to low end.

I understand your point, I have about 35K invested in my home system but we are comparing car audio yes you can upgrade and spend a small fortune but I'm just saying that his system did not sound like crap.

He liked it but he liked the S6 better he likes the power and the engine sound plus I have to say the electronics in the car were very nice I liked it better then I drive its much quicker to respond. The nav is better to at least from what I saw of it. The seat are awesome in that car.
