It really difficult to get a chance to drive these since the transmissions are always broken
There are 3 of them in my area, but I doubt that it could be a daily driver...

as if you did not read my post above. I hate it when people make uninformed comments without having even driven one
correct. It was not intended to be used unless stuck in snow. See previously attached vid

However i can't escape one thought: Why on Earth would Nissan make a "launch control" for situations in deep snow or mud?!
For once: i've learned that in difficulty slippery conditions it's better to take the car easily than aggressive, so to avoid slipping the tires and even more burring the car in snow. By no means i've seen any results with hard launches. And this being a smart AWD vehicle, even more one should (i think) ease off the throttle in those difficult conditions to let the AWD system do it's job and easily take away the power from the wheel that have less traction and give it to those who have more.
Quote from another guy:
i didn't know they didn't call it launch control. who the fuck is going to use that for getting out of snow. does the government really think these guys built an insane performance car with a setting to dump the clutch NOT MEANT FOR DRY LAND LAUNCHING? sneaky nissan bastards

What's up 700700.
My bro lives next door with a red GTR. Bought it months ago (I think Jan. 09 or so - I can't quite remember). The damn thing is crazy fast. It's that much slower than the Haybusa. Kudos for dispelling all those rumors and misunderstanding about the tranny. For those idiots that trashed the car with launch control and got all the publicity, they are somewhat not informing the public, or the public simply can't accept the fact that Japanese and American supercars are the game against the Europeans with a lower price tag. Bang for the buck.
The GTR is very refined machine and drives easily as a daily car. You can drive it like a Camry, or drive it like the cops are chasing you. The only different between driving this car in a video game versus real life is . . . you actually feel the near full G force and feel the road. There will be haters, but one can not get a new M6 for $80,000 either.
Every techno car (including our e60, gee how many CIP revision are there now?) has it's initial glitch, but once ironed out, it's a good performance car for the money. I don't think anybody would disagree with that.
