Default 5 Series to A6

Well I have had my 530i since June of 2004 and have over 204,000 miles on it.Time for a new car. I test drove the new 5 series and the Audi A6. I went with the A6 and the ship has actually docked today with my car on it.

It would have been a tougher choice if I was not keeping my 5 series, but since I am I went with the Audi which has the technology edge olver BMW.

I have had good luck with the BMW although I had to replace the automatic transmission at 197,000 miles and the oil cooler at 105,000. My biggest issue is the I drive. It is quirky at times where the screen may not light up or pushing button down does not select anything.

Thank you! I do not believe that the interface is superior, I just had problems with the I-Drive itself, locking up, not coming on at all even after restarting the car and doing resets, sometimes the big controller knob would not recognize when I pushed it down.

I am not going to be a stranger here since I am still keeping my 5 series.

The biggest thing was that I didn't want to have 2 cars that are almost exactly the same. My wife has a Mercedes and I hate her car so it came down to the 5 and A6.
