could his tires rubbing on the fender even a little be another factor? or maybe just the weight...

I know why now. I think my dumass started in the wrong gear. I'll correct that for the next midnight runs. No F'in around next time, expect to see me come in first everytime

I was hoping that the is350 would have come along because I have never ran one before. But from what I have heard once you get past their trap speed, they just start to give out.

Well I'm the one with the IS 350. so if you want lets see if we can meet up really quick to do a few runs before Feb 9th. I wanted to go this weekend but I just had too much stuff to do and I know my schedule is pretty tight for the next few weeks but we can work somthing out.

Yeah, your "dumbass" should have listened to me when I told you to start in 2nd @60 mph. Look here, for the 550/545 6-speed/SMG gears: 1st @38, 2nd @64, 3rd @98. So, the next time you run Walked U or any one else, make sure you're at the right speed in the right gear for max torque.

Hey nice runs! Good Driving Walked U. You really seemed to have walked everyone!

I'm still amazed at Heezy's 545. I swear it has a stronger engine than the rest. I mean he can beat most if not all other 545's and 550's he ran against and he was able to keep up with the 335 on several runs...
I'm not surprised at how well heezy545i has done at every highway run we've had. I don't think his 545i is anything special. It's the driver. Though he will never admit it, heezy545i is a real good driver. It's not always the car that determines how well you do. Driver experience is key as well.

Oh yes... I know hes a good driver too but some runs i see where it should be even but his 545 ends up pulling ahead... its a combination of both...

Me? I need all the help i can get... I need like an Enzo just to keep up with Heezy in a Pinto.

Off topic a bit, but EuroCarFan I just found out that the Steps can't hold 60 mph in 2nd gear. I saw a chart where the top of 2nd is 57 mph in 2nd.
Yeah, I think I told you that a while back also. I can't drop down to 2nd when I'm at 60 or even go up to 60 in 2nd. Actually, I think it shifts even earlier than 57mph. I'll check again once I get my car back from the dealer.

As usual, we tend to go off topic.

Here are the numbers for the 545 Step: top of 1st is 32.6@6000, top of 2nd is 57.7@6000, top of 3rd is 89.1@6000. Next time you and I go heads up, we'll launch from 1st @30 mph and 2nd @50 mph. This will be fair for the both of us putting us at max torque. I bet it will be a tie or your Dinan mods will pull on me.

I just need to practive my driving skills..haha

Remember me trying to do those 0-60 launches? I didn't even know how to take off the traction control...

Anyway, back to the original topic. Seems like you guys had a lot of fun. We've never had any launch meets up here in NorCal. Not sure if people aren't interested or maybe because we've never tried to organize one. Hopefully we'll get a chance to do some runs at the Mar 31st Meet. Maybe I can get some other cars to join. My friend has an STi. Who wants to challenge him for fun? hehe

I'll run the STi only if he's stock.
