I test drove the XF supercharged and was very, very impressed. I will give it serious consideration when I purchase my next car. In brief, the XFR is ~$77K which is about the same as a loaded 550. It gets comparable gas milage with ~M5 performance. The interior was far superior to my current 550. The current Road and Track long term test showed no electrical gremlins. I am sceptical of the long term reliablity given Jaguar's history but the car felt great and really gets up and runs.

i was hit up on the freeway by a xfr (supercharged) about a month ago. he egged me on so i took the bait, we started at 45mph and the M5 had the xf my bus lengths by the time i hit 5th gear. there was no comparison. i would say the xf would be closer to the m3 territory

The early XF Supercharged was 420 bhp. The current one is now 470 bhp -- just 40 shy of the XFR. F10 550 won't be able to keep pace with that from a stoplight.
