Yes it is false. At least as judged by GDP. Quality of life, general happiness and level of pollution (outside the pits that is Athens) perhaps a different classification altogether.

No, that's exactly what I mean. GDP tells you how rich people are. But personally, I think people in Mediterranean countries enjoy - on average - a greater QoL than people in "rich" Scandinavia or Northern Europe. If you agree, that would put Greece even further up the list.

OK guys, I really hate to chime in, but I feel the need to do so...

The situation is pretty easy.

Alex wants to sell, Nick wants to buy.
Nick is unexperienced and careful!
Alex just wants to get rid of his stuff and is also careful (IDtheft/adress).

I understand both sides.

But if you guys can't find a way to seal the deal, then you don't have a deal. There's not enought trust here from both of you for the other party...

Let's all just agree, we are all in the EU, Italy is NOT better than Greece, nor is Romania any better or worse. Each country has good things and bad things. You'll find people that love their country, no matter where their country is listed on ANY kind of BS index, also you'll find people that hate the country they live in.
There is absolutely NO NEED for this fingerpointing and "I am better than you" BS here in this community.

Now step back everybody and chill!

I've started this thread because of our personal dispute with too many PMs between me and Alex, about what is wrong, what is right, what is safe and what isn't.
So I thought I could get some help from our members who are more experienced than me on this matter.
I didn't had any intention to attack against anyone and I also don't have the power to turn this thread in the right direction.

If you think that I made an illegal question in a wrong forum, or this thread became useless, then I think that you have the right to delete it.

Erm, does that include you? 'Cos if there are a couple of unnecessarily aggressive posts here, yours is definitely one.

I'm definitely feeling as if I'm being tarred with an inappropriate brush ("EVERYBODY involved here") for trying to keep the discussion on a factual level and lightening up some of the tension. Perhaps one should refrain from offering facts or voicing a requested opinion on options for transferring money.

Anyway - never mind. In the vernacular: "whatever".
