With returns or exchanges?


I ordered a water pump and thermostat to replace mine a while back and just now decided to install it. Crap!

Waterpump impeller is not fully pressed in, or at least not pressed in far enough!






How far out the stock one sticks out

Won't bolt up either as the impeller rubs against the block.

 

 

So much for a quick two hour job....


It only took me 45 mins to remove the pump.

 

And my press took a dump so i can't just press the impeller further in!

Wow didn't know it could protrude that much. I ordered mine with thebmwpartstore and had no problem. Wonder what they meant when they put the "tested" sticker on.

 

If you have a machine shop close by and you need it fixed now, they can probably put it in a press and push it down to where it needs to be.

 

Looks like that maybe the only choice. Like I mentioned my press took a dump a while back.

 

Autohausaz finally contacted me and pending review they would send me another unit. I just cannot wait that long.
Of all things I was able to hammer the impeller to the same specs as oe.
