Yeah, life is funny like that.
I'm really very sorry for you guys, now as i type i'm very crossed with this BUT i admire you for the decision to step up especially that the US Law system permits you. It would have been a shame to do nothing about this in those conditions. In my country a civil case like this will take forever especially when alot of electronic transactions are presented as evidence with no other than PMs for the obligation evidence.

Again good luck with this and go get that s@n of a #@$@

If that fails then feel free to take actions the other way. Find out where he is and...well...530iSPORT has way more imagination that i have.

"And i'm also just as shocked on how many well known people on this board praised him and were even willingly to guarantee for him. "

Yeah, life is funny like that.
I can't beleive that of all those people that ordered, no one has any info on this guy. Was there anyone who ordered from FL and went to pick up there stuff direct, and maybe went to his house or something?? If I had a confirmed location, I'd make the trip down from Toronto just to have a couple words with him in person...

Not a single person on this board has heard from Tony lately???? Not one?????? If that's the case, he definitely skipped town. I can't believe this!

So do you think this whole setup was a scam from the beginning:

1. Sell painted kits at cost or even a slight loss with good service and quick turnaround to build up a great reputation.
2. Based on these ridiculous prices, get a crazy volume of trusting customers that don't mind waiting 2-3 months because of the great deal.
3. Customers make orders without getting legal info, address, contracts, or anything based on the rep and the 'over 150 satisfied customers' over a couple years.
4. Stop completing filling any orders, but just keep taking more people's money with the just be patient approach.
5. Start talking about backorders from Germany to milk people as long as possible.
6. Once the well is dry and he has $50-$100K, disappear.

It doesn't seem like it would be worth the time and effort involved, but I dunno what else to make of it...
Won't surprise me. That is how many internet business scams work. Very popular way that South East Asia made famous on Ebay years ago and still to this day is being used by people around the world. People walked aways with ten and thousands of dollars with no recourse. Another popular scam is setting up bogus internet sites that are basically like a liqudator store(has lots of everything and most items fairly cheap) and run it for a few months. Then all of a sudden gone when the heat gets turned up. They don't make millions but thousands very easily and its hard to track these people as they've become very savy on the workings of the scam.

Hope you all nail this POS.

Yeah I was not expecting that many people. With that many people, it's over $60,000... not small claims for sure.
Best of luck.
