My Ride: 2004 530i, Titanium grey/Black, Automatic, Sport, Premium, Nav, HUD, Aux input, 35% tint all around.
Just got my car back with bluetooth activated. v16.2 software was also installed as i now have "perspective view" in navigation.
When I attempt to "save name", the voice recognition software does not recognize the command.
I tried "dial number" and that works perfectly.
Anybody else experience this?
I'm using a motorola v710 and verizon is my carrier.
Thanks guys!

Rudy,
I ran out to the garage to confirm.
"dial name" does the trick.
no need to "save name".
Thanks!

I think the save name command is obsolete now.? The system will read your phonebook from the phone and you will be able to use the dial name command to say the name as it's spelled in the phone.? No need to train the car or save any voice tags...

Do you know the month your car was produced?? There is a ton of information about BT and our cars but basically, on a MY2004 car, you need to have production date of March 2004 or later for the TCU to work with Bluetooth.? If your car was produced earlier, a new TCU can get you BT but you'll either have to pay for one or get lucky enough to have one replaced under warranty...

I believe that is correct.
According to buzzeroo's signature, he has nav. I'm still waiting to see alohalc's answer to my question as to whether or not he has nav. I think that'll explain the discrepancy between what's happening between buzzeroo and alohalc...
