hey people help me out please. recently I changed from a motorola e815 verizon phone to a palm treo 650 but I never had a problem with idrives bluetooth with the motorola until I changed. I was able to access my contacts effortlessly because I have no nav which means no lag. anyway with the treo 650 I'm not able to acess my contacts list but as a favorite, I am able to acess some numbers. another major major problem I have with phone aside from contacts is that when the phone is paired with Idrive it is not working properly. when the bluetooth and wireless mode are both on, the wireless mode on the treo would constantly restart. if the phone is not paired the phone never restarts. also the phone is fully updated with the latest software. help me out please as I would love to use bluetooth like with my e815. thanks post or pm me if you have any ideas on how to fix the problem.

my friend has that phone paired up in my car due to him waiting for a call when we were on a trip...it didn't cary the contact list over...only a few numbers like you claim. It just didn't work that well all together...

I have a Treo 700p. The i-drive menu is only able to read the favorites and not the contacts in the address book - I think that's a limitation of the phone/i-drive setup.

It seems strange to me that the wireless mode on your 650 will just "restart". What does that mean? Does the phone do a soft reset or does the wireless go off and on somehow? BTW, does your 650 work with other bluetooth devices like headsets?

I have an '07 with Bluetooth, and had an '04 with the CPT9000...
The TREO's ONLY transfer favorites. It's nice as far as I'm concerned because I have SOOOOO many names in my normal list since it sync's with outlook (and our Microsoft CRM system). With it only showing favorites I've added about 20 or so there and they show up on the iDrive.

I do have tons of times where I'll get a 2nd call, and the system get's so confused I have to reset the phone for everything to work properly. I'm on verizon with a 700w...

I have Tre0 650 with Cingular. It only shows favorite calls, but otherwise works perfectly. Treos can be finicky.

Maybe you should reset your Treo, reload the software and synch the data from your computer, and see if that works.

Only the favorites will be transferred over. Make sure that you edit each one and remove ALL parentheses, hyphens and commas from the numbers. Use periods in there place. Remove the verizon voicemail favorite. You can put it back as a favorite that you make with your number in, which will allow you to get your mail. The only loss is the inability to press "one" and connect directly to voicemail. This is no big deal. Bluetooth should then work perfectly. Good luck.
