unable to detect bluetooth???

i m having problem in pairing my SE750i with my 530d... the E60 bluetooth is active in the communication interface but the SE750i simply cannot detect the bluetooth in the car after searching for many many rounds... can anyone help, pls?

Are you following the BMW instructions on how to pair a phone up?

Thanks for responding... is there any indication that the i-drive or the car is in pairing mode for the phone tto detect... tq

yes. Have a read of your Telephone Users Manual, page 7 explains how to put the car into pairing mode

I also have that problem, in the other k750i thread someone said something about the software in the car. I will contact my dealer next week, if he has a solution i'll put it here

2 little quick reminders:

1) You have to be in the screen "Bluetooth Connectable in this Menu" screen before your phone will see the car. This menu is under Communication Settings/Bluetooth/Phone. (The Bluetooth Active is under Communication Settings/Bluetooth/Settings)

2) Once the phone found the car, and you click 'Add Device' in the menu and all the passcode thing, you need to exit that menu before the phone will connect to the car.
