When I first paired my phone with the car I had no trouble and it transferred the phone book. I just updated the phone book and it won't transfer it to the car, the old numbers and entries remain. I even deleted the phone and repaired twice and each time the old numbers and entries come back. Do I have to change the name of the phone when I pair it? That's not much of a phone book synchronization method and not how it's supposed to work. Is there some sort of delay until the phone books sync up?

By the way the phone updates as expected on my wife's 330Ci.

UPDATE: I tried pairing the phone with a different name and it still displayed the old numbers. I gather the name is simply a convenient label and not the true device identifier employed in pairing. Seems odd there's no way to flush the phone book data from the car. "Delete Data" in car settings sounds like it only deals with the Nav Address Book.
