I love my new 680 so far. It paired easily and I'm amazed at how much clearer the connection is than my 650. I was also surprised to see my entire contact list displayed in the i-drive, not just the favorites like with the 650.
It's all good!!

Good to know that it works well with the E60 -- I was never thrilled with my 650 and now I'm so impressed with the BlackBerry that I'm taking the plunge. A friend of mine just got the 680 and he seems to like it most days but is still on the fence whether or not he's going to keep it beyond the 30-day return period.

Your entire contact list is displayed? Very cool.
I'm wondering how that works, since my 700P is pretty close in terms of hardware/software and it only displays the favorites... maybe the 680 has a more advanced bluetooth interface?

It's funny but the entire time I used the 650, I wished the contact database would transfer. Now, with the BlackBerry, the entire database transfers and I'm wishing I could control what categories transfer or something because there are just too damn many contacts listed now!

I don't know why but it definitely shows all of my contacts. In fact, none of my favorites moved over to my 680 and I haven't yet figured out how I want to set them up. Now I really need to clean up my contact list -- I have too many duplicates in there (I hotsync both Palm and Outlook and have created a monster ).

I may have spoken too soon! There is some discussion on one of the treo boards that some contacts are being shown but not 100%. I have not done a one-on-one comparison to my contacts so I shouldn't have said that all my contacts are there. I can say that it sure looks like it though! One poster on the other board did count and said that 63 of her 200+ contacts were shown (she only had 4 favorites). She also said it wasn't any specific category. I'll try to look at mine more thoroughly tomorrow.

Are these people on the Treo boards talking about contacts transferring to BMW's or other cars? Just curious...
