Sprint BB 8703e
#1
My Treo 650 died and I was handed a Sprint BlackBerry 8703e. When I go through the pairing procedure with my 06 530i both devices find each other and appear 'happy.'
After that, nothing happens. I can not get anything to sync, etc. I made sure that the phone is discoverable. Is there anything else to try? Settings to adjust?
I know it is not listed by BMW as a compatible phone, but I was hoping....
Thanks for any and all help,
Pat

Pat, although I don't have any hands on experience with the 8703e (sprint) almost all the blackberrys since the 71xx have an option to allow Address Book Transfer. This option should be under "settings" or "options"; then select "Bluetooth"; then the paired device that corresponds to your E60 and from there select "options". The screen that will come up has the Address Book Transfer selection. Make sure it it set to "Allow All" instead of "Hotlist only" or "Disable".
Also, your BBerry must be running OS 4.1 or newer.
If all those are correct then you should be seeing your BBerry address book in your BMW.
I hope this helps.

Thanks for the help.
Oddly enough, I had given up hope for the phone to pair and went out to run an errand and it paired perfectly. I guess having the car turned off for a period of time allowed the system to reset.
One less thing to worry about in life...
