Hi,

Is there anyone with a K800i who could tell if it is possible to get the iDrive to show the icon of signal strength. My K800i with cradle works fine in all aspects (contacts, dial, receive etc) except it does not show battery bar and/or signal strength in the iDrive menu.

Any help appreciated.

Many SE phones dont show the signal strength. I didn't know any phone shows the battery status.

I have BTA1500 and I have the same problem. Is this a limitation of BTA1500 or my phone (currently I'm using i-Phone 2G)?

I bought a K800i because on BMW site it is 100% ok.

Mine works fine and I get signal strength. No battery bar though.

My car is 2005. I just got the latest software update last week but it worked fine before that also.

The above is with Bluetooth. I do not have the cradle yet.

Hi i recently brought K800i and there is no activation for blue tooth and even there is no data cable now whom we have to contact for this problems?

Thanks for your reply. Could you tell me what software/firmware your phone has? Also, if you have made any changes to phone settings in the K800i? I have tried mine with both cradle and without. Basically switching on B/T and pairing with car. Both cradle and non cradle B/T connection works fins with regard to contacts being transmitted and making/answering calls. It is annoying that I do not get the signal strength since I bought the K800i for the same reason as you, i.e. it is said by BMW to be 100% compatible with all functions.

Do you have your phone set to dual band 900/1800 or do you have 3G switched on as well (triple band)?

Any help would be very appreciated.

No idea what HW/SW it has. Tell me how to find it and I will have a look.

I have changed nothing. Took it out of the box charged it and that is it.
