I've bought the cradle for the sony ericsson T610/630. I tried to pair the T610 with my new E60 (october 2005). It works but the phone book does not appear in my screen. Tomorow I'll check with the T630 if the problem is the same. I hope not. I've paid 80 euros for this cradle !!!
Do you know how if there's a manipulation to get the phonebook on the screen ?
Is there another phone that fits in this cradle ?

Should not be cradle related. Phones pair without cradles. Cradles only for recharging and hard connection to antenna. Other than that, cradle not necessary for operation of Bluetooth phones.

I know that the cradle is useless for pairing. I was trying to say that i've bought a cradle because my dealer told me that phones (T610 and T630) pair with the E60. Indeed it pairs but without the phone book. And for me a hand free system without a phone book is useless.

According to this site:
http://www.x5world.com/file-bmw_bt_phones.htm
It is fully compatible with phone wook transfers. Also have seen several forum members use this phone and others in that Sony Ericsson family successfully. Do a search on T610 in this forum and you should find several threads indicating it works.

I have just started having a similar problem with a SE s710a. Will pair/work with car, but no address book transfer to car.
It was working fine for a while. Then it started getting a little odd (sometimes would would get the "please active phone" screen). Now it always connects, but I have been with no address book in the car for about a week.
When I list a "services available" from the phone, it only says "hands free" as an available service for the car. Also, a short time after starting the car, the iDrive screen will say "transfering data" and "net.search" will appear in the lower left corner. I believe this is a (failed) attempt to transfer the address book.
Makes me wish I didn't "upgrade" my old t637, which always worked flawlessly.

I used a T610 for over a year without any problems, full phone book transfer etc. It can take a while the first time you pair the phone for phonebook to appear.

My T610 works fine, but I seem to recall that I had trouble with phone book. I think the car only saw the numbers stored on the phone ( not the sim ), or the other way around !. May be worth experimenting along those lines.
