Still searching for a replacement for my V3...

I've heard good things about the Sony Ericsson K750i

Any comment from owners of the K750i & E60 will be appreciated !

Thanks !!

I've a K750i and it works fine with the car no problems at all, phonebook transfers across etc. This is with both the original firmware the phone was released with and the latest available from SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service)

I bought the phone a day after I posted this thread and I have to tell you - This phone works 100 times better than the V3 with the E60.

It connects in 1/2 a sec. when you go in the car and disconnect instantly when you turn off the engine without causing delays or causing the radio/iDrive to stay on for another 30-40 sec.

It doesn't have all the annoying things i've mentioned in my V3 post.

The battery last for 2-3 days !! (compare to 1/2 a day for me with the V3).

Call waiting however cannot be switched through the iDrive - just like the V3, but it easier to do it with the handset than with the V3.

The only thing I can admit the V3 is better is that it has better reception in some areas than the Sony Ericsson.

Now, putting it all on the scale (forget about the endless features and the amazing camera this phone has..) - the SE K750i wins Hands down !

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !

My k750i is great, always works with my wife's e60. Sony just released the w800 which in my oppion is the same phone (feature wise) as the k750i but cost more. Go to the gallery and see how well it took pics, the subtitle says I took pics with the k750i.

Nothing, I just leave it in the slot under the climate controls.

Just adding to my first reply, the k750i takes better photos with more light; at night I noticed the pics is a little grainey. If you see in my gallery, the pics outside was in the evening. But still good for a phone.

The SE K750i is a perfect match to the E60's software. Only problem is no cradle yet but I'm sure one will eventually be released. By the way the SE T610/T630 cradle is not compatible.

Highly recommended as well
