Does any one know if the Shark fin is connected to the BT phone cradle by default now when the BT base plate comes installed in the UK cars? I remember seeing that many have had to make this connection in the trunk (where the compensator is supposed to be fitted) before it was actually connected to the external antennae.
I have the base plate and am in the process of building a generic SE phone cradle using parts I bought of ebay. Will post pics if/when ready.

dont know for sure it that i'm the states but it depend on the production month here. my was connected and i hooked it up for a month. the shark fin is a bad antenna. i have since hooked up a 5db antenna behind the shark fin for my cell phone. [ i put it there to reduce noise from the damp weather in seattle]
