Correction Pharding or it may just be my car but i have intergrated bluetooth and my car is a July 03 build that i brought new in October of 03 had the dealer retro fit the BTUM that they could not get working. So they replaced the TCU and viola intergrated bluetooth and limited voice commands. OH yeah the best thing is it was completly freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
Took a great deal of trial and error but my techs got the job done and i am very happy with it so far, except i wish the volume could go a little louder when on the highway with the sun roof open kinda defeats the purpose in some ways but it still rocks.
good luck

Upgrade to the CPT9000 phone kit for your car and then get the Bluetooth BTUM module.

My Ride: 2004 545i / Orient Blue (I think) / Tan int / 116's Wheels / ... my favorite option, the HEATED steering wheel!
Previous cars retired:
2006 Corvette Z51, 2002 Corvette Coupe, 2002 Mustang, 1997 Maxima, 1994 Camry, 1990 Supra
None, and I mean none compare to this 545i. The 06 Corvette was faster, but not by much...

I have aftermarket option:
Parrot Bluetooth Steering wheel control adapters allow integration of the Parrot Bluetooth kits with BMW Steering wheel controls. Voice dialling, answering & ending calls & adjusting volume can all be done without taking your hands off the steering wheel.
Cost ~ $225 + parrot kit.

Actually there is a Bluetooth retrofit module for the early build E60.
There is no need to upgrade to the CPT9000. What you need to do is replace the TCU with a E60 ULF module.
