Replaced TCU for BT Need Coding-FIXED!!!
So I replaced my 10/2003 build 04 530i TCU w/a 10/2007 TCU. I now have the SOS Malfunction but I understand that's fixable. This particular TCU does appear in realoem for my VIN.
I noted when I tried a simple BT scan on my Note 4 that the MAC ADDR appeared but would not connect. I also noted on the iDrive screen the Signal Strength and another icon ( Pole or a "I" that forms a "T" w antenna or wave or signal indicator at the top???)....I don't know what it means but from googling I see it w/a phone next to it. Are these two indicators a good sign for this TCU (still awaiting programming) ?? Programming: I programmed Aux awhile ago and have since upgraded the Win7 laptop to Win10. I believe I am close since INPA works (both dots!) but I need to work through some NCSExpert errors....I just want to download (read) my car file, edit it and upload it - that's my goal. UPDATE: So I sorted my LAPTOP ISSUES: 1. (2 OCX files needed copying into sys32 and syswow64) Dirs and registering Sorted NCSExpert issues: 1. Com Port Latency reverted back to 16 instead of 1 SUCCESFULLY CODED: - Even though "what" to code is all over the map on the forums and I-Net!! 1. Changed fields to "activ" in Mask & TCUM Modules 2. Added +633 to VO (+639 already in list) Wrote to CAS Write to LMA - DID NOT WORK SUCCESSFUL PHONE PAIRING: (NOTE 4) Can MAKE and RECEIVE phone calls - CD or FM Stereo properly mutes during calls and music returns after call completes. SADLY: What "I" was most interested in DOES NOT work...MUSIC STREAMING instead of AUX Cable!!!:( What am I missing??????????????? FYI: SOS Malfunction error CLEARED in the process...I did NOT code it out!! |
NO e60 tcu has ability to music stream UNLESS you do a combox retrofit.
only way is to add a bluetooth adapter, i have a video on both coding TCU like you mentioned and also the bluetooth aux audi streaming adapters https://www.youtube.com/user/roskinc |
