Which of the two would you recommend?

Depends on the carrier but I would lean to the RAZR just becaus of the lack of external antenna. I don't like the useless antennas that seem so common on CDMA and iDEN phones (yes I know some GSM phones have them too ). But feature wise I think they're both about the same unless you're talking about the V3m or V3i vs E815 then I would go for the V3's in a heart beat.

Verizon is the carrier and the phone they are carrying in the RAZR line is the V3M.

I'd get the E815. Personally I think the RAZR is over-played and everyone has one. But perhaps I'm biased since I have an E815 already...

I have the E 815 and have not had any problems with it for over 1 year now. Many people I know with the RAZR do not like it and have changed from it.

I have E815. The only thing I don't like about it is its weight. Other than that it's quite good. Reception is an B+, weight is C-, GUI is F+ (Need to learn from LG).
I've been told tha RAZR has bad reception.

The thing that really sucks about the RAZR is that the ring tones are easily switched while in my pocket. People would call and I wouldn't know b/c I somehow changed the ring to "Alarm Only" or "All off." Unlike the 815 and 710, the RAZR does not have "Ring and Vibrate" tone.

The positives are: compact to fit in pocket, good reception with Verizon, good speakerphone. Camera is good quality when there is enough light.

The V3i does have both Ring and Vibrate as well as Vibrate then ring.

You must have Cingular or T-Mobile. As far as I know, Verizon RAZR does not. If so, I'll have to pay the Verizon tech department a visit.

Does the V3M from Verizon have a vibrate mode? I could not imagine that it wouldn't. Any issues pairing the V3M? The carrier should have anything to do with the phone features.
