My Ride: 2004 BMW 545i, Olivin Green, w/Sports Package, basic stereo, chrome wheels, tinted windows, Bluetooth enabled with Moto V710 (Verizon), Sirius Sat Radio (aftermarket), Auxiliary Input for Ipod.
There are two address books available. Whatever is on your phones gets transferred automatically. The second 'address book' is voice command. You have to record these in individually.
Push the "voice command" icon on the steering wheel (left side, bottom button). After you hear a beep, say "record name". You can say anything you want...Johnny cell, johnny home, johnny work, pizza hut, Outback, etc. Then it will prompt you for numbers. You then speak your numbers clearly. Try 3 or 4 at a time. It will repeat what you say. Once the numbers are in, then say "Save Name" Repeat the procedure for other names.
Once you have these entries in the 'phone book', you can dial by hitting the Voice Command button. After the beep say "dial name". Then you say "Pizza hut" or any name in you book. The system will ask for confirmation..."would you like to dial "pizza hut?". Say YES. Then it says "dialing" and it dials your number.
There are other commands out there.
YOu can say "dial number" if you want to speak your numbers..

I have a Motorola v80 and had the same problem. I fixed it by doing the following. 1- press the tab with the voice on the steering wheel and say save name. 2- say the phone number that belongs to that name and say save. Now you are ready to go back and use the phone to dial out. It took me about 30min to enter my top 30 names from my book that I call the most. Hope this works!

The phone book will download the second time you connect with your car. It also takes a few minutes to complete the download.
My phone (V600) let's me use the voice dialing without having to save any names in the car phone book. I just push the voice command button. Wait for the beep. And then I can say, ie. "Call home", or "Call John" and it comes back with "Do you want to be connected to home?". I say "yes".

[/quote]Yep, you are right. You would have to set up the entries individually for the voice phone book.
