When I went to my dealership on Wednesday to catch a glimpse of my newly arrived 520d, I did not see any sign of the Parrot kit that I had ordered. I contacted the sales person, who told me that the Parrot was invisible anyway, because it was built in off factory. Not too sure what to expect at delivery next week. Will I be able to use the steering wheel and iDrive controls to make/answer phone calls?
Any thoughts?

Yes, Deeman,
Finally got the car but it didn't have the Parrot at delivery. Apparently they had forgotten to install it. Anyway, I had the Parrot
3100 installed at the dealership last week and it works fine. In an ideal world I would wish for access via the phone button on the steering wheel though.

If you buy the Parrot Multican kit + a Parrot Bluetooth car kit (like a Parrot 3000), can you use the integrated microphone of the E60 or do you need to install the microphone that comes with the Parrot Bluetooth car kit ?

Dont know for sure but I think if you dont have BMW assist you have to install the original Parrot mic!

Does anyone have the specific model number of the Parrot parts? I'd like to use their car kit to install it in my 2004 E60. Is there a US dealer that has this available, I've only seen in on UK sites.

Thanks

Dave
