Palm Treo 680 works fine. Sometimes freezes when incomming call on the second line. Contact list only synchnizes with SIM card not the phone memory.

 

I previously had a RAZR V3 and it worked great. Just got a Treo 680. It worked great the first time, but ever since it won't pair with the car.

I've checked all the settings and started everything over. The car and phone are ready to pair. The TREO sees the car, but for some reason won't pair.

What ver of Progman do you have?

 

I'm a new member here. Thinking of getting a 680. I haven't seen any further replies to the above. Has this issue been resolved? Does the 680 work? By the way, what is "progman" and how do you tell what version? Thanks for your help.

 

Which issue are you referring to? The 680 works.

Progman is the software that updates control units that aren't at the latest software level. Progman sw has its own version numbers; current cars coming off the line are at Progman 24.2 last time we heard.

If you have any modules replaced or a sw related progman, the dealer will program and code your car and when Progman is done, all control units will be at the latest level (the levels have different numbers).

Thanks for the answer and the welcome. having read the posts above, I wasn't sure that the ultimate answer was that the 680 was compatible. So do the Favorites synchronize?

I recently had a "reprogramming" by my dealer due to some issues with my ('06 530i) seatbelt wanring tone not shutting off. The entire idrive settings (radio, presets, etc.) were wiped and it appears an update was done. How do I tell the Progman version?

 

If you just had it done, it's Progman 24.
