Greetings memebers. I just purchased and received this last week my 2005 E60 545I, and am intersted in pairing my UNLOCKED Orange E200 bluetooth phone with the car. I was wondering if anyone on the forum has tried to pair the two and what the results where.

I am scared to try as if it does not work then I would not be able to unpair the 2 or that it would screw up the system that I already have. Any help from the forum would be great.

Although I am unfamiliar with the Orange E200, it should not be a big issue to attempt to pair them. I know the car can delete any BT device after it is paired and should not impact on the system in the car. My phone can be paired to several devices at any time, my Mac, plam, etc with no problems. I would assume that all you would need to do would be to cancel the pairing to any device you choose.

I do not know what the Orange is but you can pair and unpair 100 phones to your car and just delete them them. Its not a firmwars or hardware change to your car so nothing will go wrong.

The address book transfer may never work, but if your phone has Bluetooth hands free capability it should work with the car. I'm not familiar with your phone model but it is most likely a setting in your phone. If you have a security menu make sure the BMW device is a "Trusted" device. Also check your Bluetooth power settings; if it is set for a short duration then it may be timing out. It?s possible as well that it is a problem with the vehicle, if you know someone with a different Bluetooth phone (preferably a BMW approved one then try pairing that to your car.
